The Wedding VenueMindy and Dylan celebrated their wedding at the Hotel Blackhawk on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021. They selected this venue for two reasons: the fully restored gorgeous ballroom that provides a renaissance atmosphere, and it is at this same hotel where they first met.

The EntertainmentMindy and Dylan chose Clife DJ Company for their entertainment because the services we offer fit their vision of an all-out Posh Experience. That includes Marquee DJ and Hypeman Clife Estores, our popular Indoor Fireworks, Dancing on the Cloud, Social Photo-booth, Scapelighting, Party Pillars, and additional TVs for Visuals. They also had a LIT (literally) LED Dancefloor provided by Unique Events.
The Wedding CeremonyThe Wedding Ceremony took place in the ballroom, the same location as the reception, attended by the couple’s closes friends and family to witness their union.
During the prelude, we played a video that the couple put together for their guests. It includes a collage of photos and Dylan’s proposal video.
The wedding party walked down the aisle to a song called “Carol of the Bells”. Then, Mindy walked down the aisle to the song ‘Christmas Canon”. Lory Costonis Dyre officiated their wedding. After making their vows, the newlywed was met with thunderous applause as they proceeded hand in hand down the aisle to Zedd’s “The Middle”.
The Cocktail HourAfter the ceremony, DJ Clife and Brianne, the planner, guided everyone to the mezzanine for the cocktail hour that lasted an hour and a half. During that time all the vendors helped to flip the room for the reception. Then 10 minutes before they let everybody back in, the couple went in for their first look at the Ballroom and were in awe of the design of the room. They did a quick photo shoot, then left the room again to prepare for the grand entrance.
The ReceptionDJ Clife was the Host and DJ at this epic wedding celebration! He introduced the wedding party to their own selected songs, while the newlywed entered to Joel Corry’s song “Head & Heart”. Brunch was provided by Hotel Blackhawk. Mindy and Dylan then shared their first dance as husband and wife to Marren Morris’ “The Bones” after the toasts.
Using our interactive wedding planning app, Mindy and Dylan (with DJ Clife’s help) created a unique and mind-blowing dance party that kept everyone on the dancefloor, including Mindy’s grandpa Elvin! With DJ Clife’s amazing mixing skills and interactive personality, everyone was dancing and jumping to a wide variety of music. From good vibe 70’s Motown and punk, 80’s hits, 90’s & 2000’s hip-hop, EDM, to the newest hits to date, the newlywed and their guests raved the night away waving their foam sticks up in the air while getting blasted by the DJ’s C02 cannon!
The Final Dance The end of the night came as it always does when having a great time; a bit too early for some. “Stuck with you” by Arianna Grande was the last dance song of the evening. But DJ Clife wasn’t done with his surprises yet. He kicked everyone out of the dancefloor except for the newlywed after Arianna’s song played out and played a very special song with a little sprinkle on top that made almost everyone in the room tear up. It was truly an unforgettable night (per Mindy).
